Analysis of Water Yield Changes from 1981 to 2018 Using an Improved Mann-Kendall Test

چکیده
Water yield (WY) refers to the difference between precipitation and evapotranspiration (ET), which is vital for available terrestrial water. Climate change has led significant changes in on a global scale, will affect WY. Nevertheless, how WY changed during past few decades factors dominated are not fully understood. In this study, based climate reanalysis remote sensing data, spatial temporal patterns of were revisited from 1981 2018 globally using an improved Mann-Kendall trend test method with permutation test. The response ET also investigated. results show that multi-year mean 297.4 mm/a. Based traditional test, showed (p < 0.05) increase 5.72% total valid grid cells, while it decrease 7.68% those. After correction calibration method, significantly increasing decreasing areas reduced by 10.52% 10.58% them, respectively. correction, confirmed mainly located Africa, eastern North America Siberia, parts Asia Oceania, dominant factor precipitation, was combined effect evapotranspiration. achievements study beneficial improving understanding hydrological variables context change.

Evaluation of Drought Temporal Changes using Mann-Kendall test and Sen’s Slope in Kerman Province for the Period 1990 to 2018
Investigating the trend of changes in drought as one of the natural disasters is essential. For this purpose, in the present study, the trend of changes in standardized precipitation-evapotranspiration drought index (SPEI) for the synoptic stations of Kerman province was evaluated for the years 1990 to 2018. The change trend of the SPEI time series was evaluated using two both Mann-Kendall and ...
متن کاملMann-Kendall for autocorrelated data
The Mann-Kendall test is a commonly-used nonparametric test for time trend. However, the standard P-values obtained from it are based on an assumption of independence between observations (since the theory is that of the Kendall correlation). However, observations in time series are often autocorrelated: knowing that one observation is larger than the mean may tell you that the next observation...
متن کاملTrend Analysis of Groundwater Level, Using Mann-Kendall Non Parametric Method (Case Study: Tabriz Plain)
Studying the trends of water table in any region especially in arid and semi-arid regions is an important issue. This study focuses on assessing groundwater table changes in Tabriz plain. For this purpose, non-parametric Mann-Kendall test is used. In studing groundwater level the information of 14 pizometric wells in the period of 1991-2013 was used. Significant levels of 1, 5 and 10% were used...

abstract with due attention to importance of climate change and natural ecosystem sensibility of the study area, in this research have been studied the probable climatic departure from normal and the existence of trend in climatic time series is detected by statistical tests. the first on the basis of rank- method mann kendal, it is tried to identify of changes and then recognize their type and...

Kendall Rank Correlation Let (X1, Y1), · · · , (Xn, Yn) be a bivariate random sample of size n. The Pearson correlation coefficient provides an optimal measure of the degree of association between the X’s and the Y ’s when the sample is drawn from a bivariate normal distribution. The Pearson correlation coefficient is reasonably robust for many other distributions as well. The Kendall correlati...
